Carwalo is a free mobile app for Android and iOS that helps you find touchless car washes in Slovakia. Besides a list and a map of car washes, it gives you details about their equipment and payment options, photos, a wash diary for your cars, and practical tips on washing your car without scratches.

Currently only in Slovakia, and the app is in beta. Our database contains over 550 car washes, of which almost 200 are verified with photos, and we keep expanding it.

Yes. To keep the app free, it displays ads. If you prefer an ad-free experience, you can activate the optional Carwalo Premium subscription.

No. Core features such as browsing car washes, the map, and guest mode work without registration. You only need an account to save favourites, leave ratings, manage account-linked data, purchase the Carwalo Premium subscription, or use car wash owner features.

Carwalo Premium is an optional subscription (monthly or yearly) that removes ads from the app. It is purchased through Google Play or the App Store and renews automatically. You can cancel it at any time in your Google Play or App Store account settings. All billing is handled exclusively by the respective store – we never process or store your payment card details.

We use your location (geographic coordinates) to sort car washes by distance from you, show them on the map, and provide a relevant weather forecast. If you enable notifications, your location is also used for weather alerts in your area. The app still works without location permission, but these features will be limited.

We would really appreciate it if you let us know through the form in the main left-side menu directly in the app. Some of the data comes from third parties, so we recommend verifying key details. Reports from users help us keep the database accurate.

You can delete your account and its associated data at any time directly in the app settings. Alternatively, email us at [email protected] from the address you used to register. Personal data connected to the account is deleted without undue delay, and no later than within 30 days.

Every photo goes through automated anonymization before it is published – artificial intelligence blurs all visible faces and vehicle license plates. The original unblurred photo is not retained after the anonymization is complete. By uploading a photo, you confirm that you are entitled to publish it.

The anonymization is automated and may not be perfect in every case. If you believe you or your vehicle can be identified in a photo, write to us at [email protected] and we will remove or re-process the photo.
