The Carwalo app is now available on the App Store and Google Play. A beta release means that both the app and, most importantly, the database are not in their final state yet. We are still improving both.

Our goal is to give everyone who uses touchless car washes a platform that helps them find the right place to wash their car. It is not just about location, but especially about the equipment each car wash offers.

Car Wash Profiles

At the moment, all photos and equipment details are available for the car washes that we have personally photographed and verified.

The app also includes results that we have not yet had time to verify. These therefore do not include photos or equipment information.

The database may also contain incorrect results due to data from Google Maps. In fact, the ambiguity and unreliability of car wash search results on Google Maps was one of the reasons Carwalo was created.

These results serve as the initial starting point for our database, but we have to remove around 4 out of 10 of them because they are either incorrect listings, automatic car washes, or various detailing services.

Future of the Platform

In the future, we plan to make changes to which parts of the app are available for free.

The app itself will always remain free for users. The only optional paid feature is, and will remain, the ability to turn off ads.

For car wash owners, however, we plan to introduce premium profiles for their car washes.

Free profiles will show only one photo, and the car wash equipment will not be visible. Since the process of verifying and photographing a car wash is time-consuming and requires a lot of travel, we will need to take this step, but only once a reasonable share of car washes has been verified.
